Castaways of the Flying Dutchman By: Brian Jacques
Castaways of the Flying Dutchman was the novel that got me back into reading when I was younger. It’s a story filled with adventure and excitement. It’s brilliantly written and suspenseful. This is the perfect pirate story. It drew me in right from the beginning and did not let me go until I had finished the other books in the series as well. This is a wonderful book and one that I’m sure I will be re-reading a lot in the future.

Possession By: A.S. Byatt
I did read Possession after watching the movie. There was more to the book than the movie. (The movie was still awesome.) It’s a rich story, full of research, poetry and romance. You get drawn into the story, led by the characters both in the past and in the present. The writing is beautiful, the story is moving and the characters feel real.
This book was a richly detailed, deep and complicated story. I would recommend this Possession to anyone who wants to immerse themselves into the lives of four different people, their lives and their stories.
