The House At Riverton By: Kate Morton

I just put The House at Riverton down a moment ago. I find myself almost speechless! Having read Kate Morton’s other two books, I was expecting something amazing and I was not disappointed in the least. This book is filled with secrets and suspense. This is a book I am sure I will be thinking about for a while. The characters are what drive this book forward, weaving together a story that is very intense. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a suspenseful, atmospheric read.

Also! If anyone knows of any authors that write similar books to Kate Morton, please tell me! =)

Crown Duel By: Sherwood Smith

Once again, Crown Duel was a book that first drew me in by the cover. This is a richly detailed fantasy world, which intriguing characters and plenty of action. It is a book that is a complete joy to read from start to finish and you will not want to put it down. I would recommend this to anyone in search of a good fantasy story. ‘Tis a lovely book!

Recommended Age: 16 and up.

Eyes Like Stars By: Lisa Mantchev

I won’t lie, I picked up Eyes Like Stars because it had a pretty cover. Lucky for me that it turned out be a a great read! It’s full of mischief and fun characters. Add that to a fairly confusing yet entertaining story and you’re in for an enjoyable read. I would recommend this to anyone in the mood for ridiculousness!

Recommended Age: 16 and up.

Sorcery and Cecelia or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot By: Patricia C. Wrede and Caroline Stevermer

Sorcery and Cecelia was simply magical. This book was full of clever wit and hilarious characters. It is a story told through the letters of two friends who find themselves in various mishaps. This book was cozy and entertaining and I would recommend reading it with either a good cup of tea or hot chocolate. This book has two sequels which are: The Grand Tour and The Mislaid Magician. I would recommend this book to anyone in need of something lighthearted and filled with adventure.

Recommended Age: 15 and up.
