So I did it. I read the Hunger Games. I originally didn’t want to, as it actually didn’t sound appealing to me. Then I watched the movie and though I didn’t enjoy the movie all that much, it intrigued me enough to want to read the book. I actually quite enjoyed it. It is a simple, quick read, but it is exciting and kept me very interested. If you are looking for a quick read with plenty of action, then you should read this!

I’m often reluctant to read books that have been over-hyped by the media, but there are a few that are actually decent enough to be worth a shot. Hunger Games is one of them.
Very true! I was reluctant to try it, but I am glad I did.
Are you going to read the next two? If you haven’t decided, I wrote a review of all three if you haven’t already read it
(Yes, I’m advertising myself!) Love you
Hehe! Yeah, I started the next one already.
The Hunger Games is one of the better series among those that have hit mega popularity in recent years. I also think that Suzanne Collins is a pretty good writer, better than, for example, Stephanie Meyer. (Although, admittedly, I’ve also devoured the Twilight books.)
Loved The Hunger Games and I’m glad I read the series before I saw the movie. Made so much more sense.
The book definitely makes more sense!
I was another one that held off reading the books, but once I started I couldn’t put them down. Catching Fire is my favourite of the three. Very well written.

I’m holding out on this book until all the hype dies down. I want to read the book at my own pace, and not because everyone says it’s awesome. Does that make sense?
It definitely does! That is what I did too, to a degree. I never even wanted to read it, but once I watched the movie I figured I would try it out. But once you decide to, it is a good book.
