The Magic of a Storm

I love storms. I love being outside in them, being at the beach watching the waves roll and crash and I love being inside all warm and cozy while reading. I also love reading about storms. How often have you just curled up with a book, reading about the cold, stormy weather and hearing the rain lash against the windows? There is just something about storms in stories that automatically draws you in. All the good sea-faring stories have storms, many fantasy stories have epic storms. The kind that make you extremely grateful to be inside reading about them. I love reading about storms in any fictional story I read.

Do you prefer reading about storms or sun and good weather?

Ysabel By: Guy Gavriel Kay

When I first saw this book, I knew I wanted to read it. That was years ago. But I recently found it at a book sale and snatched it up. I had absolutely no idea what to expect with this book. This book seemed to be written for adults, yet the whole story was from the perspective of a teenage boy. I was quickly drawn into the story and mystery and finished the book in a few days. I really enjoyed it. This book has a great blend of history and fantasy and a variety of interesting characters. Would definitely recommend this as a good read!

City of Lost Souls By: Cassandra Clare

I have read this series from the beginning and really enjoyed it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the 4th book in the series, so was a little wary when picking up the 5th installment. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book was great. It had the same feel as the first three books of the series. This series is action-packed, has great characters and is plain fun to read. Would definitely recommend this series if you’re looking for good YA Fantasy.
