Silent in the Grave By: Deanna Raybourn

Silent in the Grave is one of the best mystery novels I have ever read. Beautifully written and delightfully suspenseful, this book will leave you wondering who the killer is and wanting to read the rest of Deanna Raybourn’s novels. There are so far five novels in this series and as of yet I have only read up to number four. I have, however, loved them all. The characters and the settings in which these books take place are marvelous to read about. The only complaint I have ever had about these books is that the covers make them look like awful romance novels, however there is much more to these books than the covers. I would recommend these novels to anyone in search of well written Victorian mystery novels filled with suspense, romance and even some laughs.

  1. Hmmm, I’ve been looking for a new read. I must admit that I have never read a Victorian murder mystery before… but Agatha Christie comes to mind… gotta love BBC. πŸ˜€

    • You can definitely never go wrong with Agatha Christie! πŸ™‚ Well, if you do feel like trying a Victorian murder mystery, you should definitely give these a shot. I would also recommend books by Tasha Alexander. πŸ™‚
