Evidently I have been on a bit of a YA Fantasy kick lately. Having been wanting to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone for a while, I was very excited when I found it at the library. It hooked me in immediately. I found myself reading about a world both dark and wonderful.
I love the description on the back cover:
Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.
And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.
I really enjoyed reading this book and was definitely swept up in the adventure. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the second book in the series.
That description does sound really good!
