The Immortal Rules By: Julie Kagawa

This was a very fun book to read. The main character was strong and intriguing. I loved that this was a vampire dystopia and that there was a lot of suspense. I enjoyed the characters and really, how the book felt almost realistic. The vampires in this book are true monsters and it adds to the overall darkness of the book. This was a gritty YA book, but at no time was it over the top. Essentially, if you’re feeling like you’re in the mood for something a bit darker, that has a lot of action, a lot of suspense and creepiness, then this is for you. I’m so glad I already bought the second one, because I’m going to dive right in.
