This was a book I had been meaning to read for years but never got around to. The last couple of months I’ve been on a bit of a gothic book binge, so I figured it was time. This book was a surprising read. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story was smooth and I really enjoyed the characters. The atmosphere was perfectly done and it made Manderly itself feel like its own character. I can definitely see why this book is considered a classic. I really enjoyed this book and am very interested in reading her other books. This was a perfect curl up and be cozy read and I highly recommend it.
