The first thing I read about this book was the description of: An Ethiopian-inspired fantasy retelling of Jane Eyre. That’s all I needed to see and I was in. And what an adventure! This book came complete with a creepy haunted castle, ghosts, romance and of my course, plenty of banter. Andromeda was a wonderful character and I really enjoyed reading her story. Magnus was a very flawed hero and I really liked the way his character was done. There was action and some tear-jerking moments as well and overall this was a wonderful read.
