About

I’m a reader and a writer. I love stories, music and things that make me dream. I am married to the most amazing man and live in the most beautiful place in BC, Canada. In this blog I plan to share my thoughts of certain books and stories, what it is that I love and what it is that I don’t. Hopefully you’ll find some of it helpful! If not, that is okay. I do plan on adding in some “Parental Reviews” to let people know how much iffy content might be in a book. Such as: Swearing, Violence — that sort of thing. Because if you are anything like me, there are just certain things you don’t want to read about in a story. If you really don’t care what kind of things are in a story, then you can simply ignore that part of my reviews.Β  I also love randomly taking and posting photographs of things I find pretty or interesting.

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog “Eyes to Heart” and liking my post “Moxie’s Excellent Swimming Adventure.” … You’re lucky to live in B.C. It’s so beautiful! I was born in Vancouver but don’t get back there very often. … Be well, Dorothy πŸ™‚

  2. Lea, I just read here that you live in BC. Where??? I am also in BC! I also see that you and I share similar view regarding certain things not necessary in what we read. I believe you just may be a kindred spirit.

  3. I am in northeast Surrey – close to the Fraser River and not far from the countryside. You’ve read some of my favourite authors (Kate Morton, for example). I’ve been to Gibsons/Sechelt only once and loved it there.

  4. Congratulations Lea! I’ve nominated you for the Leibster Blog award! Get all the information about it in my post:

Please tell me you plan on posting a wee bit more? πŸ™‚ And you have always been a supporter of my posts, so I hope this shows how I adore you as well…

  5. Hi Lea!…tag you’re it! I’ve taken the 7/7/7 challenge. Here are 7 lines (+) from page 7 of my work in progress and I have tagged 7 other writers to do the same… Copy this line and put it in a post called 777 Writer’s Challenge and follow the directions yourself. And please put a link to your post in comments on the 777 Writer’s Challenge post on my blog so I and my readers can see what you share. Thanks!

  6. hey, maybe by reading your blog posts I would bring back my passion for reading again. U know its very easy to say that I don’t get time for reading but I know that’s just an excuse.

  7. Oh, I love to read too! I’m looking forward to reading your reviews of books that you have read! Thank you so much for the likes and the “following” of my blog – Blessings through raindrops. I consider it a true honor to have you follow me on my journey through life πŸ™‚
I’m excited for you to reach your goals in 2013 in regards to publishing a book – looking forward to reading it!

  8. I’m Ashlee Craft and I am a 19 year old published author, poet, musician, actress, filmmaker, artist, and photographer. I have written and published thirteen poetry books, two novels, four juvenile fiction/young adult books, two illustrated children’s books, two art books, and two non-fiction children’s books. I have also released two pop-rock songs, which I wrote, produced, sung, and played all of the instruments on. Additionally, I have released three short films that I directed, produced, wrote, and acted in. I am wondering if you would be interested in interviewing me and then publishing the interview on your blog, or reviewing one of my books and posting the review on your blog (I could email you a PDF of your chosen book if you desire). Thank you for your consideration!

  9. Hi Lea! I absolutely love your blog and your taste in books exactly matches mine! Your quick and to the point reviews are perfect and easy to read, and I love the variety of posts. Just wanted to say kudos!
